Photography Workshop: Anouschka Rokebrand

September 29th, 2014

Hey guys! I am excited to be working on a new styling project at the moment, which I thought I’d share with you today. I have been asked by photographer Anouschka Rokebrand to style her second photography workshop, which is happening next month, after the success of the first workshop I styled back in March. Like last time, I created a couple of moodboards highlighting the colour palette and a bunch of beautiful ideas as a starting point. Making moodboards is a great way to get ideas across and I use them in my work ALL of the time. They take some time to pull together but the results are always inspiring and they are integral in communicating colours, ideas and concepts. Here is a peek at what I am dreaming up this time around.

Inside Scoop: Family Fun in a Malmö Home

September 18th, 2014

A few months back I jumped on a plane with photographer Jansje Klazinga to style and shoot a few Scandinavian interiors. We visited three stylish bloggers who each showed us inside their lovely homes. Peggy Juche was one of them. As a pro kids lifestyle blogger, I had no doubt that the Malmö home she shares with her family was going to be an absolute delight and I was right. Light, bright and dedicated to family fun, this Swedish abode was a joy to step inside. This tour has published in this month’s 101 woonideeën magazine, but for those of you outside of the Netherlands who don’t have access to the magazine, here’s a peek into one of the most family friendly homes I’ve entered to date. And what would a family friendly home tour be if I didn’t start with the sweetest kids room ever!

New in the Shop: Lola Donoghue Art

September 10th, 2014

I have loved the work of Irish artist Lola Donoghue since I first discovered her on Etsy about two years ago and my heart still leaps with joy a when I see her work. Spontaneous, bold, abstract and ultra feminine, her colourful paintings are quite something. So when I discovered that she has recently started selling her works on Great.ly, it took me all of about ten seconds to jump online and swiftly stock some of her pieces in my art shop. She is a wonderfully talented artist, and it brings me so much joy to support her work.

Inside Scoop: Monochrome Amsterdam Abode

September 9th, 2014

It’s always a buzz to see my work featured in a magazine, so I was thrilled to see some of the images I took of the Amsterdam home belonging to Desiree Groenendal of Vosgesparis featured in the latest issue of SOFFA Magazine {pages 130-143}. Her high contrast abode, which I shot for my Decor8 column a few months back, has been home to the interior design blogger for the past 25 years and over the years she has given it her signature monochrome, industrial, Nordic sense of style. Here’s a peek at the feature, plus more shots of her home.
