Inside Scoop: A North London Victorian Family Home

Hello! I hope that you enjoyed a peaceful Easter weekend. Ours was spent juggling a bad bout of the flu with an energetic toddler, while trying to get out and savor as much sunshine as we could after months of complaining about the weather! I was also bowled over when a bunch of our friends turned up at our house on Friday night to throw me a surprise Birthday party. Things like that are always so humbling, and I am very grateful to have such kind and thoughtful friends. I’m only sorry I was donning slippers and disheveled hair when they all arrived!

Over the long weekend, my latest feature for Houzz published and I am so pleased to see the gorgeous North London home of Monique and Trevor getting loads of positive comments because the work they put into their Victorian home is highly commendable. You can read their whole story and see more images {here}. For now I wanted to take you into their charming family home and share a few of my favourite pics from the tour. Enjoy!

The gorgeous woman pictured above with her adorable daughters is my sister’s best friend Monique, and the owner of this gorgeous home. Monique has known me since I was a little girl sporting bad hair and baggy clothes, and it was such a pleasure to spend the day with her catching up on our girls in between me racing around with my camera! I love how she and her husband, Trevor, combined their fresh modern style with the home’s original Victorian features, and the girl’s bedrooms are amazing. Each has it’s own original fireplace, high ceilings and a peaceful colour palette.

A huge thanks to Monique for opening up her doors to me, and I hope that you enjoyed this little sneak peek. Make sure you get the whole scoop over at Houzz!

Great house tour. It’s so funny, I had to do a double take as their external look similar to my victorian house. Great high ceilings and light flowing in. Great that they have kept the period features. Have a lovely week Holly. Hope the flu is better x

Thanks Geraldine! One of these days I will have to see this gorgeous home of yours too! Flu better but have this nagging cough. Just as well we are heading into warmer weather now. Hope you are well x

Hi Holly I know it was years ago now, but I wondered what paint you used for the sitting room walls and woodwork.
We like it a lot and are almost at the painting stage of our renovation. Thanks. Jemma

Hi Holly please can you let me know what the paint colour is in the terrace house photo with fireplace? It’s just what I’m looking for!
