Photography Workshop: Anouschka Rokebrand

Hey guys! I am excited to be working on a new styling project at the moment, which I thought I’d share with you today. I have been asked by photographer Anouschka Rokebrand to style her second photography workshop, which is happening next month, after the success of the first workshop I styled back in March. Like last time, I created a couple of moodboards highlighting the colour palette and a bunch of beautiful ideas as a starting point. Making moodboards is a great way to get ideas across and I use them in my work ALL of the time. They take some time to pull together but the results are always inspiring and they are integral in communicating colours, ideas and concepts. Here is a peek at what I am dreaming up this time around.

For this workshop I was drawn to cool green tones but I wanted to make sure that her signature feminine style and brand aesthetic was still visible in the choices I made.

The palette I have devised mixes organic olive and pistachio tones, with opulent brass and gold tones and a touch of peachy blush.

The look and feel is natural, organic and feminine with a touch of opulence. Several awesome vendors will be providing the pretties that I’ll be working with on the day including the stunning Hélène Millot Furnishings whose tableware I adore working with, Don Florito florists whose flowers take my breath away each time, Gilded Linens who are sending over the most beautiful runner, and I’ll be styling a cake by De Keukenprinses. I love my job!

The workshop, being held on 13 and 14 October, is aimed at aspiring wedding photographers who are there to learn all about wedding photography from a pro. On the day, I’ll primarily be putting together a styled bridal table for the photographers to shoot, so it has to be nothing less than inspiring. It was so much fun last time watching the attendees gobble up the details with their lenses, excitement mounting with each click of the camera. This time around, I want to see the same response to my table and watch photographers climbing on tables and chairs to capture the beauty before them!

For any aspiring wedding photographers out there, particularly those that live in the Netherlands, this is a fantastic workshop to get involved in! Anouschka will be offering attendees an in depth look into her work as a successful wedding photographer with tips on how to get started in the industry, how to find and develop your own style, the kind of equipment needed as well as tips for networking and marketing. She photographed my own wedding and the images are beautiful, so I can’t speak more highly of her work. If you’re looking into breaking into the wedding photography business but are on the fence about it, now would be a great time to book your seat and learn all there is to know from a pro.

I’m excited to see it all come together in October, and will be sure to share the results here shortly afterwards. The last workshop was featured on the blogs Style Me Pretty Living, Wedspiration and B.Loved so the bar has been set. No pressure or anything…!  I will also be guest speaking again, chatting to attendees all about working with a stylist, so I’ve got my work cut out for me.

If you’d like to know more about the workshop, click here. It will be held in Dutch {ahem, apart from my part!} but if you are interested in attending and don’t speak Dutch, be sure to contact Anouschka as I am sure she will be able to accommodate you.

See you back here tomorrow with a gorgeous home tour.

Those mood boards are beautiful! Which program do you like to use? Do you have any tips for someone just starting out?
