Project R | Little Girl’s Bedroom

Are you guys enjoying the Project R series? Today we are back with another room reveal, this time a sweet little girls’ space. Our client enlisted us to help her with her home at the end of 2016, with the goal of adding style, personality, function and a overall sense of cohesion to her newly renovated family home. We layered in a muted colour palette, lots of texture and cohesive accessories to bring this family home to life. We are so thrilled to see the whole house featured in the Dutch magazine vtwonen this month that we thought we’d give you guys the full treatment, sharing our sources along the way! We have shown you the living room, the play room and now the sweetest little girl’s room we think you’ll love.

Our client was deeply inspired by a very special room tour she had spotted here on the blog that you might recall – Lola’s bedroom. So much so, that for her own daughter we adopted many of the same ideas including half painted walls, soft linens, clever storage solutions and a sweet palette fit for a princess. It’s always such a compliment to know that our spaces inspire others and we were more than pleased for the same love to be applied to this room as it was in Lola’s. With the bed and a few heirloom pieces already in place, we layered in the softness to create a charming space that any little lady would love!

The same shades of paint seen downstairs in the living room (Elephant’s Breath, Farrow & Ball) and play room (Dead Salmon, Farrow & Ball) were brought into this space, adding a quintessentially feminine vibe to the room. We softened the bed with a draping panel of linen, dressed the bed with a linen duvet and coordinating pillows. A reading nook and storage space was created using multiplex plywood and Ikea cabinets (from the Besta range), similar to the one you have seen here. A Moroccan style rug, light filtering roman shades, leather pulls from our friends at Design Studio Nu, and cute accessories were thrown into the mix! As always, we have created a Shop the Look for you with the same or similar pieces as seen in this space:

    Hi Holly and Hedda,

I usually leave comments on the instagram, but today I decided to write here!
First, sorry for my english, I use google translation and a dictionary (hahaha).
I really like seeing your Project R series – although I would love to have the vtwonen magazine, which unfortunately I did not find it in my country.

This little girl s bedroom is so simple, charm, romantic and sweet! It has the most beautiful linen, furniture and color palette! Love the calmness and the aesthetics that exudes!

    Great styling!!

    Love from Greece
